NSW: Funeral begins for slain Sydney family

A memorial service for a Sydney family slain in their own home has begun in a packed
hall at Olympic Park .

Led by chanting Buddhist monks dressed in orange gowns .. five caskets containing the
bodies of the Lin Family have been slowly wheeled into the Badgery Pavilion.

Before filing into the pavilion for the service .. hundreds of mourners have written
messages on two large banners printed with photographs of the family.

BRENDA LIN will speak briefly at the service which is also being attended by Federal
Opposition Leader MALCOLM TURNBULL .. local MP MAXINE McKEW .. and officials from the
Chinese embassy.

The funeral will be followed by a private ceremony at Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium
later this afternoon.

45 year-old MIN LIN .. his 43 year-old wife YU LI LIN .. their sons HENRY and TERRY
aged 12 and nine .. and Ms LIN's sister IRENE YIN were killed while they slept in their
beds in North Epping .. three weeks ago.
