NSW:Toddler nearly drowns in family pool

SYDNEY, Dec 2 AAP - A two-year-old toddler is in hospital after he was discovered face
down in a backyard pool in Sydney's southwest.

The boy's parents noticed he was missing from his home at Airds about 8pm (AEDT) on
Thursday before discovering him floating face down in a temporary pool in the backyard.

The parents performed CPR and called emergency services, who took the boy to Campbelltown
Hospital, police said.

He was transferred to Sydney Children's Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
