Tas: PM dismisses Labor interest rate criticism

The PM's dismissed Labor's criticism of the government's handling of interest rates.

JOHN HOWARD'S told a business lunch in Tasmania KIM BEAZLEY is a high interest rate specialist.

He says the opposition leader was part of the former Labor government .. when interest
rates reached 17 per cent.

Earlier today .. Mr BEAZLEY demanded the government address the nation's skills shortage
.. to lower interest rates.
