Fed: Maintain faith in spy agencies - Howard
Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD says the federal government hasn't politicised Australia's
intelligence agencies, and says people should keep trusting them.
Mr HOWARD's told Melbourne radio 3AW that the government doesn't ask intelligence agencies
to say what the government wants to hear.
The Prime Minister says recent criticism by figures within the intelligence community
reflects a natural level of difference of opinion.
Mr HOWARD says he believes intelligence given to him is delivered in good faith, and
is as accurate as it can be because it can't always be spot-on.
